Rare only one of 8 that left the factory I been told. 97 1/2 wingspan, 79"long, 32 lbs. Built to factory specifications. Has a Sachs 4.2 engine, with throttle spark advance and Purr and Power muffler and mount. Great set-up with the Byron scale flyable 3 blade prop and hub. Detailed dummy engine. Cockpit kit, plus I have a new canopy to replace orginal that has some cracks around the mounting holes. Robart custom T-28 retracts, look great and function well with fullly functional sequencing gear doors and speed brake all look real good, plus fully functional flaps. Mechancially everything works O.K. Personally I'd put pull-pull cables on the rudder versus push-pull push rods. That's me. I bought this T-28 to re-finish the exterior, but never got to it and do not have the time. The construction build is O.K. and solid, but the exterior needs to be touched up or repainted. There are some blemishes, hanger rash and pin holes that need glazing puddy and primer in different places. Can be seen in my detail photo's. I want the buyer to have full disclosure. Builder did not put enough of a good effort on the exterior finishing of the model. I think he rush to get it done for Warbirds Over Deleware 2004. I am not try to say that this is not a great plane and buy. I'd keep it if I had the time to get to it. It is a rare and great model. Flew one ans they fly great. But this one can use some work, to be up to my standards. I know that you guys know that I have and sell real good stuff. This is a great model, but needs to be re-finished to be made right. Have construction and owners manual. It is a steal at $2750.00 for the guy that wants to re-due the exterior. As always, First $2750.00 gets it. This aircraft was built from scratch using the best of materials. Zero is equiped with Robart #154 main retracts and strut covers, Robart air kit, Fromco lithium receiver battery with regulator, Sony 4.8 volt ignition battery, Futaba 9202 servos on all control surfaces, Zenoah G-62 on CH Ignition, Bennett muffler and cup style motor mount, heavy duty main wheels with aluminum hubs, coil sprung tail wheel assembly, all wooden construction, sheeted and glassed with Pacer Z-Poxy resin, (except rudder, which is fabric covered), paint is Klaskote epoxy paint. Have all the numbers for the matching colors, if you ever need touch up. All control surfaces are tight and cleanly done. This Zero has a beautiful smooth semi- flat finish. Quality of exterior finish is excellent. Detailed cockpit with pilot. Zero has rivet detail that is nicely done. This is a great scale show plane that is also a great flyer. It is the most scale plane I have seen so far. This plane started out with a Moki 2.10 with pipe. I went to the Husky 2.7 when it came out about 2 years ago. I wanted a little more performance so I went to the DA-50 which I flew today. Much better. The plane was a little tail heavy and I had my hands full. I think the yoke on one retract may be bent a little. A small crack in the leading edge by the retract well which can be fixed from the inside. No biggee. IT has all the servos required for flight. Not sure if they are all JR or a mix, but they are good ones. I want $2400 ready to fly with the DA 50 with the extension from tru turnor 2100 With the Husky and Pipe. If you want the Husky you will have to make provisions to move the engine forward about 1/2 in. I will sell the plane and electronics for $1900 without the engine. She weighs 28.5 lbs. A brief history on this model is in order: Originally built for me by Frank Tiano years ago, it was originally powered by a Moki 2.1 w/ tuned pipe. I flew it like that for several seasons. About a year ago, I decided to upgrade the model with the Husky gas engine, Aerotech's latest retracts/struts, new airlines throughout, new batteries, etc. Basically, I went completetly through the airplane from front to back. I have yet to fly the airplane with the Husky yet. I have made some ground runs, though. I was considering going with a Pitts style muffler instead of the internal pipe this time to ease access to radio gear, but I will let the new owner make that decision. I am simply out of room in the hangar and have to thin the fleet a bit. The airplane is painted with K and B epoxy paints. The airplane is not pristeen-I have put quite a few flights on her over the years, and she has some minor nicks/dings here and there to prove it. Nothing major, but thought I would give as accurate of a description as possible. Priced to sell at $2999, or best offer. Just the materials alone from Aerotech would cost you over 4K, and that's with no radio gear or labor. I prefer to deliver to Joe Nall fly in on May 16/17.
